» SLAP Overview

SLAPs administration component allows users to access SLAP across the Intranet or Internet, thus saving valuable time for remote server admin or emergency updates from home. Access to a server is defined within SLAP using roles. Security is both User and Computer (PC) based, this means that SLAP only allows access to certain employees on predefined computers. This insures database security at two levels.

Role level security defines which databases a user can access and the roles (ability to update SLAP configurations, rollback updates, etc.) that a user has on the database.

SLAP integrates with Microsoft Active Directory for user authenication.

Automated reports are sent to the DBA's email address. DBA's can configure the reports to be sent daily, only when activity is detected or create other periodic reporting schedules.
